Here is some information about Art at Sanders Memorial STEAM Magnet School!

OPEN HOUSE 2020-2021 Welcome Video for Parents

The SMES Art Department is delighted to announce our school will be participating in the world's largest student online art museum, ARTSONIA! Artsonia manages school art galleries in a safe and educational manner, developing students' pride and self-esteem and involving parents and relatives in student arts education.We need your permission to include your child's artwork on our school's web gallery on Artsonia. Watch the following video to learn more!

Soon, you will be receiving a personalized take-home flyer to grant permission for your child's artwork to be featured in our Sanders Memorial Elementary School Art Gallery. Not only will this allow you receive email notifications when your child has uploaded their work, but you may invite friends and family to also see, approve positive comments about their work, and get feedback from their art teacher in regards to their work. 

You may also purchase high quality custom keepsakes of your child's art! Our art program receives 20% of all proceeds to use towards materials and other supplies!!

Permission slips for Artsonia are sent out every year during the months of August and/or September. Please follow the steps in order to grant access for your child to participate in our school-wide art gallery. You can in turn view their work, purchase their art on keepsakes, and track their progress throughout the year. All artwork will remain hidden until you complete this step. If you lost your child's permission slip, feel free to email one of the art teachers.
