3rd Grade Henna

2nd Grade Symmetrical Butterflies

In light of our 2nd grade Stallions's reflection garden, we took this opportunity to learn about symmetry in nature! Thrilled with the results of this printmaking technique. In a matter of minutes, students had a perfect symmetrical butterfly.

2nd Grade Farm Field Landscapes

2nd grade Stallions have been learning all about Earth's natural resources for their ALU tasks. I took this opportunity to demonstrate how to create a landscape of a farm using one-point perspective. Students also explored different features of a landscape such as: horizon line, foreground, middleground, and background. We watched a video featuring a cornfield harvest from a drones perspective and extended our learning through Sci Show's "All About Dirt" and "The Difference Between Veggies/Fruits! Based on their beautiful masterpieces, I would say this lesson was a huge success!!!
